We are working to revitalize our convention and our club to make it more exciting than ever before. Times change and Lunacon is changing with them. Please check out our crowd funding at Indiegogo and help make a better Lunacon. We have extended our early registration rates to Halloween! The New York Science Fiction Society - the Lunarians(2), Inc. has finalized the dates for the 2016 Lunacon. It will be taking place March 18-20, 2016, returning to the Hilton Westchester in Rye Brook, New York. Additionally, we're pleased to announce the addition of Naomi Novik, the New York Times bestselling author of the Temeraire series, as a Guest of Honor, joining a stellar roster that already includes Robert Sawyer and Rick Sternbach. Lunacon is proud to welcome Robert J. Sawyer and Rick Sternbach as Guests of Honor in 2016. Robert J. Sawyer, a Canadian-born author, is an eleven-time winner of the Aurora, Canada's most prestigious Science Fiction and Fantasy award. He has also won the Nebula, Hugo, Campbell Memorial Awards, and China's Galaxy Award (Best Foreign Author) for his work. Rick Sternbach is a Hugo and Emmy Award winning illustrator of Science and Science Fiction media. His work includes designing and illustrating for Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Last Starfighter, and Carl Sagan's Cosmos.
The registration rates for Lunacon 2016 due to go up in price on September 15 have been extended until October 31.
